ED DOBRZYKOWSKI, PT, DPT, ATC, MHS, has been engaged in rehabilitation administration and management for more than 30 years. He is presently Director of System Rehabilitation Services and Sports Medicine at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky, with strategic and operational accountabilities for acute care, skilled nursing, and outpatient services. During the past decade, Dr. Dobrzykowski has provided leadership and management training and consulting services for rehabilitation leaders, managers, supervisors, and clinicians in multiple workshops and seminars throughout the United States. He is the former editor of the Journal of Rehabilitation Outcomes Measurement, author of several publications, and assisted in the initial development of FOTOTM (Focus On Therapeutic Outcomes).
Active in the American Physical Therapy Association, Dr. Dobrzykowski has held elected and appointed positions in the Section on Health Policy & Administration, and states of Kentucky, Washington, Tennessee, and Illinois. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association. Dr. Dobrzykowski earned his Bachelor of Arts in Health & Safety Education/Athletic Training from Purdue University, Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University, Master of Health Science from the University of Indianapolis, and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University. Patients with cognitive impairment often have difficulty with functional activities as well as learning or relearning behaviors in the clinic. These patients provide unique challenges for physical and occupational therapists, but there are interventions that can help overcome limitations and maximize patient outcomes. In this webinar, participants will learn many techniques designed to enhance attention and concentration during treatment sessions and maximize the patient’s ability to learn new skills and strategies. When patients are unable to make new declarative memories, we need to dramatically alter the approach. In the past 70 years, what has been thought of as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has changed dramatically. Today, an adult with ASD may be a renowned university professor, or an individual who cannot live on his or her own and needs constant supervision. Until recently, most treatment programs to help those with ASD focused on basic life skills (e.g., dressing, eating, etc.). However, with higher functioning people receiving the ASD diagnosis, the need for programs to teach this population healthy sexual behavior has become necessary.
This webinar incorporates the latest research to teach participants about methods and treatment programs that give adults with ASD the information and skills they need to date and to practice safe, appropriate, and respectful sexual behaviors.

Kevin T. Blake, PhD, PLC, is a recognized national authority with over 20 years of experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder, specific learning disorder, and AD/HD in adolescents and adults. His interest in these were spurred by his own struggles to overcome his specific learning disorder-Dyslexia with impairment in phonological processing, spelling, fluency, and comprehension, as well as severe unspecified sensorineural hearing loss. These diagnoses occurred during the first year of his doctoral program, when not much was known about adults with specific learning disorder.
As Dr. Blake struggled to understand his own specific learning disorder, he decided to make his life’s work the diagnosis and treatment of adults with ASD, specific learning disorder, and AD/HD. When he started his professional life, Dr. Blake was one of only a handful of professionals in the country with such a focus. Now he travels the country sharing his personal story and what he has learned about ASD, specific learning disorder, AD/HD, and other neurobiological disorders with professionals who work with these populations, individuals with these disorders, and their loved ones.
Dr. Blake has been a member of several state and national organizations, a facilitator for a Tucson support group for adults with AD/HD for several years, and a published author, with articles appearing in Attention!, LDA Newsbriefs, and Perspectives (of the International Dyslexia Association). He was a member of the LEAD 2000 Congress that advised the United States Congress regarding uses faced by citizens with specific learning disorder in the 21st century.

AVIDAN MILEVSKY, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and a licensed clinical professional counselor in the State of Maryland. As a psychotherapist at Wellspring Counseling he specializes in sibling issues in therapy. He has over 20 years of experience working in various settings and populations focusing on systems approaches to interventions. While earning his PhD at Florida International University, he received the GSA Social Sciences prize for his work on sibling relationships. Dr. Milevsky was the founding chair of the Psychology Department at Touro College South and is a visiting professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He serves as the director of the Center for Parenting Research at Kutztown University. His clinical research on families and siblings has produced over 100 conference presentations, and more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including a contribution to the Encyclopedia of Adolescence. His most recent book on siblings, Sibling Relationships in Childhood and Adolescence: Predictors and Outcomes, was published by Columbia University Press.
Dr. Milevsky has lectured to audiences in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, and the Middle-East on various topics including family issues in therapy, parenting, sibling relationships, and the intersection between spirituality and mental health. He has been interviewed by national media about his work on siblings including stories in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, Real Simple, and Allure magazine. Additionally, Dr. Milevsky is a columnist for Psychology Today and The Huffington Post on sibling issues. He has been a guest expert on TV and radio, including an appearance on Public Radio International's "The Takeaway."
Dr. Milevsky is currently consulting in an effort to introduce legislation that would strengthen sibling visitation rights in family court and recognize the importance of sibling relationships on the emotional and psychological development of children.

Trigger point dry needling is a therapy technique that treats pain in muscle trigger points and nerves by inserting a thin needle into the skin and trigger point to “release” the taut bands of muscle tissue. This leads to decreased stress on the nervous system, decreased myofascial pain, improved mobility in muscles and joints, and improved blood flow in the muscles and joints of the trigger point areas. Trigger point dry needling can also be used to prevent soft tissue dysfunction that leads to injury caused by overuse during sports.
