Full Description:
Assessing anxiety in children can be quite a challenge. This webinar focuses specifically on working with children and provides information relating to normal anxiety as well as how to differentiate between common anxiety issues and something more serious, such as separation anxiety. Concrete and ready-to-use tools for treating children’s anxiety are examined in addition to the importance of parents and caretakers functioning as coaches. Lastly, we will cover some areas of caution and important issues to be aware of when working with children who are faced with a variety of anxiety issues.

Your Presenter:
CHRISTINE FRYDENBORG DARGON, PhD, has been working with children and families for 20 years in such areas as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and substance abuse. She is currently co-owner of Valley Counseling and Psychological Services (VCPS) in Sedona, Arizona. In addition to her private practice, she is currently on faculty at Grand Canyon University serving students in the Master of Counseling Psychology Program. Dr. Dargon received her Doctorate of Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, her Master of Science in Education in Counseling and Personnel Services from Fordham University with a focus in School Counseling, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from The University of Connecticut.
